Every Monday, we publish a news column known as Business Bites. This SupplySide Food & Beverage Journal staple “covers some of the most important news in the biz, from the bizarre to breaking news,” per SupplySide Food & Beverage Journal Content Director Audarshia Townsend. Townsend noted one of the top picks for the inaugural column, Unbothered Foods, which is “a brand bringing full flavor to sourdough food products.” She chatted with the company’s founder, Morgan Murdock, a registered dietitian that specializes in gastrointestinal health, about the innovation behind the brand.
“I asked myself, ‘What are my patients missing/What do people like in a cracker?’ Murdock said. “The style of cracker that we have is a more elevated cracker. It’s not like a Dorito, [which is] a very zesty cracker. It’s one that’s going to pair on any charcuterie board, but with a flair.”
