In recent years, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) have become a hot-button topic for many consumers. A 2016 Packaged Facts survey gauged the attitude of U.S. consumers about the topic, considering factors such as disclosure of GMO use on product packaging, familiarity with federal legislation regarding GMO labeling and overall importance of purchasing GMO-free foods.
