Daniel Karsevar
Founder, Solutiontopia
Daniel Karsevar is the founder and chief problem solver of Solutiontopia a New York City-based service agency focused on launching start-ups and scaling small growth CPG brands in the natural foods space.
Solutiontopia works with start-up brands helping them overcome the challenges and avoid the costly mistakes that many start-ups encounter. Services focus on R&D, product development, operations, ingredient sourcing and business planning to ensure that there is a strong business foundation at the start. Scaling is another challenge that all successful businesses encounter, and Solutiontopia finds the right solution, be it building out a larger production facility or finding the right partner manufacturer and oversees co-packing production.
Solutiontopia has launched many companies at Natural Products Expo East and West, garnering the NEXTY Award nomination from New Hope Natural Media and securing national distribution.
Prior to launching the firm, Daniel worked as COO & president of Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co., a vegan alternative to frozen yogurt. In the four years after launching the brand, Daniel oversaw the growth in operations from local food incubator to national co-packer, and from regional brick and mortar sales to building out a national contract food service wholesale business as well as retail frozen CPG across the country.
Daniel is a mentor at many local food incubators in the New York City area and consults for one of the largest national food science groups in the country. Daniel has spoken about the challenges and solutions around launching a natural food start-up. Daniel attended Fairleigh Dickenson University, majoring in biology/chemistry, and received his culinary degree from Walnut Hill College.
